Before embarking on a new project or study you would need to search and locate any relevant research, in order to make sure that you are making use of the latest information. This should include searching for literature as well as data. Relevant data may be used directly in your own research, possibly in addition to data you yourself plan to collect yourself. And it may also give you relevant tips on collection method or other type of help and guidance. In this session you will learn more about how you can find and cite relevant data and use it in your own research.

After working through this section, you should be able to:

  • Understand the ways and merits of accessing and referencing research data.
  • Explain how reputable research data can be found.
  • Cite research data, in line with existing norms and conventions.

But, soft! what research data through yonder browser breaks?
